Building blocks

Strategies in Quanorix are typed rule trees built from building blocks: classic indicators, operators, and price-action / structure blocks (SMC, FVG, ORB, and similar).

What it means for you

Before live trading: read the coverage report in Export bots.

Families (customer level)

Without listing the full internal catalog:
  • Indicators — averages, oscillators, volatility (ATR), etc.
  • Price / structure — swings, S/R, trends.
  • Session / time — hour filters and Asia/London/NY presets (see Sessions).
  • SMC / liquidity — order blocks, BOS/CHOCH, FVG / IFVG, sweeps (as available).
  • Patterns — e.g. ORB, bull flag, CRT, or others enabled in your build.
Settings → Blocks enables or disables families for new searches.

Warmup and HTF

  • Many indicators need warmup bars; the engine accounts for them when evaluating.
  • Higher-timeframe context aligns to entry; with HTF, entry edge is often preferable (multi-TF).

Export-ready

A strategy is safer to export when:
  1. Its blocks are supported (or you knowingly accept approximate).
  2. Costs and TZ are calibrated (realism, Sessions).
  3. It passed at least a reasonable OOS / walk-forward check.
